Welcome to Puck Rock!  My name is Jon Gallant the bass player of Billy Talent, and like a lot of Canadians am a huge hockey fan.  This is my blog focusing on hockey.  When possible I will spin it to be music related; comparing and relating my own professional experiences with pro hockey.  I’m going to share opinions, stories, interviews and any other interesting stuff I find about the NHL here.  I spend so much time talking about hockey with my friends that I thought it would be fun to do a blog;  however I must disclaim that I am a Leaf fan.  That being fact, I will try hard to be objective in my opinions towards other NHL teams and will try to keep my focus broad.

I hope you enjoy my blog!

Hello Jonny – I’m anxiously awaiting some Habs related content sir!

And Guy Lafleur’s disco track doesn’t count.

Will we see you in a couple of weeks for TKP?

  5. KK says:

Hey great post about the Oil. I’m a diehard leafs fan too but I must admit to being excited to catch the Oilers and their trio of young Calder candidates as often as possible this year.
Keep up the great posts and don’t worry, I think the disco song totally counts as Hab’s related content. How about knocking out some Sens topics instead (perhaps about how badly the Leafs just killed them?)

  6. Rich says:

Just came across the blog. Nice stuff. Like the Probert article. Keep it up and look forward to seeing more. I’m rolling a blog as well so if you get a chance check it out. Keep up the good work here and w/ BT.

Ah shit – I should have checked back in here before the trip – would have been great to see you. Unfortunately the liquor inspector hit the old haunt at 2:30 on Thursday and no after hours this trip! How rude… Subban is a stud, you did well to grab him.

  8. Rea says:

Your blog is great. Keep it up. Good luck.
    Congratulations on your daughter 🙂

Hey, I thought you might be interested in The Great Frozen Anthem which can be found on youtube, a rocking tribute to the Canadian hockey legacy in advance of the Juno-Alumni game!
